To Be Honest Closure FAQ

Updated: Apr 4

Why is To Be Honest closing?

To Be Honest (TBH) began in 2018 as a grant-funded program of Momentum for Health and existed for several years with funding support from various organizations and foundations. Unfortunately, it has become increasingly difficult to find funders who are a good fit for TBH’s services and offerings. This reality led to Momentum’s ultimate decision to end the program this spring. This change coincides with Momentum’s organization-wide strategic restructuring, which we believe will enable us to more effectively provide ongoing support to our community while adapting to the evolving healthcare landscape.

What will happen to the resources and materials on the To Be Honest website?

We recognize the value that this website has provided to our community. To keep the website resources available to users, it will remain active for one year, during which time users will have access to all existing resources and downloadable materials. All interactive functions, such as the story submission feature, will be removed.

How will this affect the final art contest and when will the winners be announced?

We are grateful to everyone who submitted their artwork for our final art contest. The winning pieces for the art contest (theme: “connecting with my inner child”) will be announced via social media and on the TBH website on Wednesday, April 10.

How can I stay involved with the program past April 12?

We encourage you to participate in Momentum for Health's 2024 Recovery Showcase, taking place on Saturday, September 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The showcase brings together local artists of all ages every September to commemorate National Recovery Month. Artists can register for a booth at the event to sell and exhibit their artwork. Plus, enjoy food vendors, live music, activities, and more! If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact Kesia Carter, Assistant Manager of Development, at kcarter@momentumforhealth.org

Also, we encourage you to sign up for our monthly Momentum for Health newsletter and stay updated on news and events (visit our homepage and scroll to the bottom where you can sign up).
